Last week was a tough one. We went from catching 30-100 Big Trout and a few Reds every trip to having a hard time finding Trout that would bite. Why? Because of water current, water temperature, and water color. The full moon tides, coupled with a southerly wind direction, made for warming water temps and extreme tide fluctuations which dirty up the water and increase the current speeds. The Trout were still there, as evidenced on my 12 inch Raymarine Axiom, they just didn’t want to play nice.
Now that air temps and tide ranges have dropped back down, the water will clean up and the water temps are plummeting! Which means they are gonna chomp for the next two weeks! I can’t wait to get back out there! Call now and book what could be the best Speckled Trout trip you’ll ever go on! Capt. Jamie Hough 843-364-1759

Water temps are already dropping back down and the moon tides are getting back close to normal. I’m open Dec 8-18 if you want to have a Trout and Redfish trip you’ll never forget! Guaranteed fish or you don’t pay! 843-364-1759 You need Christmas filets and I need Christmas money! It’s a win win!
The wintertime Fishing is in full swing. Tons of Trout around with an average length of 15-17 inches and the redfish are starting to school up in huge numbers as well. Don’t let the cold overnight temps deter you! As the water temps get lower, the fishing will get even better. There are still some big bull Reds out off of the beaches along with some groupers and snappers on the nearshore wrecks.
