As a native South Carolinian, fishing was imminent for Capt Jamie Hough of Redfish Mafia Charters in Charleston SC. In 1995, as a freshman studying Biology and Psychology at the College Of Charleston, Jamie began spending summers as a mate and later Capt. on boats at the world famous Bud-N-Mary's Marina in Islamorada, Fl. This led to a life of traveling and billfishing for months at a time. When back in Charleston, his inshore charter business began to thrive.
Now, almost 21 years later, Capt. Jamie Hough is either in Charleston chasing redfish and trout for charters on his Redfish Mafia pro team boat, or traveling all over the East and Gulf Coasts for Pro Redfish Tournaments as part of Team Redfish Mafia. Capt. Hough has numerous TV shows under his belt and several feature articles in publications such as Sport Fishing Magazine, SC Sportsman, and SC Game And Fish. |

"I have fished with Jamie 8-10 times over the last 5 years and have never had a bad day. He is the hardest working guide in the business. If you are not catching anything in a short amount of time he is either changing type of bait or moving to a new spot. This last trip fishing with blue crabs was the best bait and we had run out of them because the weather was not great and the crabbers were not getting out on the water. Instead of going to a bait that would not have worked (which would have been easy for him) he called one of the crabbers he works with and found out where his traps were and with his permission we actually went out of the way to go get crabs directly from the traps. Then proceeded to go catch 18 reds. SWEEEETTT!! This same trip as I stated was cold and windy and the first spot we stopped we caught fish, but everyone was cold so Jamie took us to a secluded spot out of the wind and we caught even more fish. "Every year, my family and I come back home to Charleston (from Arizona) and fish with Jamie. My kids LOVE him and he always get a fish on the line for them.
