We’re in full summer swing around Charleston and Mt Pleasant right now. Menhaden are here, fingers crossed mullet are swarming, and on occasion the deep hole shrimping is great. The largest inshore flounders of the year are here right now through August. The lower tides will push them towards the middle of the creeks and they’ll be closer to the edges on the higher tides.
We’re catching good numbers of keeper speckled trout and flounders right now in between chasing big bull reds in the 20-50 pound range. It is summertime, so there’s always plenty of sharks out there to either target, or just weed through. No matter what you’re looking for, you can catch it right now! Capt. Jamie Hough 843-364-1759
